VirtueDesktops is no more :-(

Looks like VD is a goner, and I’m not talking about what you get from sleeping with that girl at the bar. VirtueDesktops gave us workspaces out the ass. We had all kinds of places to put things, even on our tiny 13″ Macbook screens. And now it is gone.

Needless to say, it wasn’t easy to make this call – I’ve loved working on Virtue, and I think it has some features that Spaces won’t match. The sad fact is, that since June last year, it has all been effort poured into a product that has no future.

Hopefully someone will carry on, because I agree with the developer that Leopard’s desktop manager may not have all the features we crave. Only time will tell, but just wanted to give a shout out to VD – a great little app.
